Champion Dakota Pedigree
Dakota and her littermate Kaih joined our family in July 2007.
She is a delightful companion and wonderful show dog too.
Dakota, like all Australian Terriers is smart and fun! She is more laid back then her sister, and loves to lie by you on the couch.
She enjoys spending time outside. She is very friendly with everyone including strangers. She is known for running to meet the UPS driver when she hears him coming down our road and getting a ride with him back home.
She loves spending time with Ellie, who shows her in both Open Juniors and Conformation at AKC dog shows in our area. She was Championed by owner/handler 10 year old Ellie.
Dakota's first litter of puppies with Harley produced 3 healthy puppies, her second with Beckham produced 5 healthy puppies, 3 of which are show dogs. Both litters had excellent temperaments, health and conformed to our breed standard.
A 2nd breeding with Dakota/Beckham has produced 5 healthy boys! This repeat breeding has been planned for a variety of reasons. We are very excited about this litter as well and hope it's as nice as the last litter.
This litter will likely be her last, as we believe in breeding our females only three times and not more than 4 litters in a life-time. Along with our primary Veterinarian, we followed the Breeding protocol from the Reproductive Specialists Dr. Hutchison and Dr. Threlfall at Ohio State University.
Dakota is an outstanding mother!
