We have had some amazing dog show years, however, due to two years of covid, busy family life, and young dogs, we haven’t shown like we have in the past. Looking forward to showing some in 2022 and more in 2023 and years to follow. Click on the years below for more details and our many accomplishments. We have bred over 30 AKC Champions, many of those Grand Champions as well as top ranked and many firsts in our breed for AKC Performance titled Australian Terriers. We still hold the record for our breed for most Best in Show’s with a bred by red Australian Terrier. We hold the title for the most Reserve Best in Show including the very first Reserve Best in Show, Owner Handler.
We have been competing in the AKC conformation ring since 2008, having set out to not only prove our dogs are of good health and sound temperament, but that they meet the standard set for the Australian Terrier breed.
We have accomplished everything we have hoped for and then some. Breeding multiple dogs that have been awarded multiple Best in Show honors is at the top of the list. Winning Breed at Westminster two years with two different dogs we have bred was an amazing honor. Winning Best of Breed at the acclaimed Montgomery County Terrier show three years in a row with three different dogs we have bred, back then dog entries were up to 40 Aussies competing, quite the honor.
Traveling with my two daughters and their dogs to compete in the World Dog Show in Finland in 2014 was also a highlight. With over 100 Australian Terriers competing and ours being the only Australian Terriers representing the USA, our boy Jake finished in the top 8 out of those beautiful Aussies participating from all over the world.
While we have had a lot of success in the show ring, so have our families we have placed show prospects with. We have collectively finished over 30 Champions, Grand Champions, multiple group placing Australian Terriers. Just our boy Jake alone has been awarded 370 Awards, 2 Best in Shows, 18 Group 1 placements, evaluated by 81 AKC Judges, top ranked 4 years in a row and received 500 Grand Champion points, completing his Gold Grand Championship before he retired.
While I breed and groom, without my daughters Lydia and Ellie Goiffon beautiful skillful handling of our dogs in the ring, we could not have achieved such success. It was a team family effort, hard work, expensive hobby, but the memories and the many friendships we have made along they way will last a life-time.
As you review our many photo’s and success’s in the past, we reflect and give thanks to God for these many blessings and look to the future, bringing our next generation of show prospects into the ring and making more history for us and for the breed. Maybe we will see you at a show near you in the future.
